I am William Dewhurst, a photographer from Sussex in England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made Lightning Limes to feature some of my favourite photographs I have taken over the years, since I was age 10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because I love nature, some of my favourite types of photography are wildlife and nature photography. I have a pond which is great for photographing insects and pond life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favourite photographers include Paul Nicklen (for his incredible nature photography) and Steve McCurry (for his amazing portrait photography).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I usually use my Canon Eos 7D, with the following lenses: Canon EF-S 18-135mm f\/3.5-f\/5.6 IS, Canon EF 100mm f\/2.8 L MACRO IS USM, Canon 50mm f\/1.8 EF II.  Before I had the Canon, I used a Panasonic LUMIX DC-FZ300 and a DC-FZ82. Sometimes I use a phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, I came first in the photography competition (16 and under category) at the West Chiltington Village Show<\/strong> with my photograph of a Shetland pony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, I won \u201cPink Lady\u201d Food Photographer of the<\/strong> Year<\/strong> (under 12 category) with \u201cBee\u2019s Breakfast<\/a>\u201d. My photograph was exhibited in the Mall Galleries, in London, and appeared on the BBC News website<\/a>, Mail Online<\/a> and the Royal Photographic Society<\/a>. People from over 65 countries entered the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in 2024, I won the Tyne-Maine Junior Cup<\/strong> for the Most Outstanding Photography Exhibit (16 and under) at the West Chiltington Village Show with my photograph of a sheep<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, I was commended in the\u00a0World Food Photography Awards<\/strong>\u00a0(under 12 category) for \u201cGrain Expectations<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in 2025, my photo \u201cSunset in Anglesey<\/a>\u201d was featured in the Week Junior<\/strong> magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2026, I was commended in the World Food Photography Awards<\/strong> (age 13-17 category) for \u201cLife on the Farm\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
